what is resistance training?

Resistance Fitness Training (RFT) is a form of training that incorporates various types of resistance to help develop and strengthen muscles. For example, Dumbbell Squats help develop and strengthen the leg muscles.

 

Did you know? Resistance Fitness Training has been around since 3500 BC when ancient Egyptians used bags of measured sand and heavy stones as resistance. The most common types of equipment we use today are Free Weights and Resistance Bands, Cables and our own body weight.

 

Since RFT has been around for some time, Fitness Professionals like myself can't take credit for creating it, but what I can take credit for is creating a more approachable, less intimidating, challenging; fun and enjoyable RFT program for those (especially women) who can benefit the most from this type of fitness training.

 

Regardless of age, life choices or level of fitness, my personalized RFT Program can help those who want to get fit and stay fit for life.

Over the past 20 years, I have studied and researched the science behind muscle and strength development. With this information, I developed BodybyCamille’s Personal RFT program, which incorporates some elements of Functional Strength Training, Physical Therapy and Sports Conditioning.

 

The Primary goal of my RFT Program is to proportionately develop and strengthen all the muscles in the body in order for them to function appropriately together.

 

My RFT Program is different from most because the focus is NOT about how much weight you can lift. Instead, the focus is on how well you  can maintain proper form while lifting weights .

Developing a mind/body connection helps individuals learn more about their own natural body movements.

Breathing properly is essential in any activity, including Resistance Training. Individuals will learn how to develop and use the proper breathing techniques for  RFT.

“Resistance” refers to any type of weight being moved. For example: cables; free weights; resistance bands, even body weight are various  forms of resistance used for RFT.

PERSONAL FITNESS COACHING (PFC)

Having an experienced Personal Fitness Coach is one of the best ways to establish and achieve realistic fitness goals.

 

Staying Committed, Consistent and Disciplined will help to develop more muscle strength and flexibility, as well as mental and emotional stability.
